Hello, my name is Jane Heath, and I am incredibly passionate about the transformative power of physical activity. As a schoolgirl, I was a competitive swimmer and achieved national-level success. However, it wasn’t until I discovered the joy of exercising for personal well-being that I felt truly alive. In 2001, I stumbled upon the life-altering practice of Pilates. Initially, I enrolled in a Pilates class to help regain fitness after my second pregnancy, but it turned out to be so much more than that. The mind-body connection and sense of joy it brought me were nothing short of a revelation.
Fast forward to today – with over two decades of Pilates experience, I’m honoured to be recognised as the leading STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor in the North East. My own Pilates studio in Durham City has been thriving since 2013, where I continue to inspire and empower people to achieve their health and wellness goals. I chose the STOTT PILATES education method for its globally recognised quality and training excellence. With certification in the complete studio system, I am an expert in over 500 exercises across the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels. My advanced-level training in Pilates exercise has given me an in-depth understanding of the method. I use my knowledge to craft personalised, safe, and effective one-on-one programming tailored specifically to each of my clients.
With a first-class Master’s degree in Psychology, my passion for promoting overall well-being goes beyond just physical fitness. My goal is to inspire you to cultivate strength, flexibility, and mindfulness through the empowering practice of Pilates. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or a newcomer, I am here to guide you on a journey towards a healthier, happier, and more balanced life. Let’s work together in my studio to unleash your full potential and create the best version of yourself.
